ZDaemon Stats not visibly updating - RESOLVED

It has been reported and also noted that the stats haven't been visibly updating for the last couple of days.

We're working on it.

The backlog between then and now will be accounted for.

Edit: As of yesterday and a period of monitoring, this is now resolved.

 

New, expanded ZDaemon stats

A very long term project finally came to completion: hugely expanded ZDaemon stats for all game modes. Here is a quick rundown of the important points:

  • The stats are not restricted to FFA experience: there are many stats for each game mode (for example, survival, coop, CTF, etc), as well as non-game-mode-related stats such as instagib accuracy, playing time per player, as well as aggregate playing time for the whole of ZDaemon.

  • There is a new duel ladder/rating system; it uses a system called "Glicko", which is an enhancement over the well-known Elo system.

  • When checking someone's duel record, one can see every single duel he played, the rating of the opponent (at that date) and how the result affected his own rating. In the interest of transparency and verifiability, there is a server-side demo recorded for each duel and it can be downloaded by anyone.

  • There are lifetime, annual and monthly versions of each statistic. At the start of each month, winners of various statistics are computed for the month just ended and displayed on the main stats page.


Some of the new stats started getting collected on June 1, 2026; others started on August 2. Note that the stats get updated nightly; not in real time as exp. in the past. You can find them in the main stats page.

ZDaemon 1.10.29 - Server Release

A new ZServ has been released as version 1.10.29.

This is a server only release.

It is to implement a necessary fix when it comes to the new statistics.

It is strongly recommended that your zservs are updated.

 

ZDaemon 1.10.28 - Client Hotfix #1

A client hotfix has now been released.

This addresses various display-related complaints that had been reported since 1.10.28 dropped.

In order to update, the usual procedure in the ZDaemon Launcher is to go to: 'Help -> Check For Updates'

Changes:
11. Fixed a couple of aspect ratio bugs that were being experienced
    by anyone that happened to be using Native Fullscreen and/or
    a maximized window (not borderless). Kudos to Kurtovitch for
    highlighting the Native Fullscreen case and narrowing it down.

12. Fixed a window positioning oddity that was occurring under some
    conditions on some systems after switching to Native Fullscreen.
    Kudos to Oxyde for highlighting this case and patience in order
    to get it nailed to the wall.

13. The behaviour of the 'vid_windowmaximize' CVAR has been adjusted
    so it'll be properly remembered while the window is maximized
    and also preserve the window state during resolution changes.

14. A new CVAR 'vid_windowautoadjust' has been added and enabled by
    default; while enabled, if you are switching between servers that
    are configured with different aspect ratios, the non-maximized
    game window will automatically resize as opposed to the game area
    being scaled down.
