The ultimate first person shooter experience, based on the original classic Doom from id Software! ZDaemon lets you play with other players just like any modern FPS, whether they're across the street or across the globe.

Create a ZDaemon account, and you'll be able to keep track of your progress, gaining experience and levels simply by playing the game. Up to one hundred players can join in a match, against monsters or each other. ZDaemon supports favorite modes like Cooperative, Survival, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Double Domination and King of the Hill and can be played on thousands of maps designed for Doom, Doom II, and Heretic, including the originals.

How to join the fun

Download and install ZDaemon, run the included launcher, and you'll find hundreds of servers from all over the world waiting for you to join in. Just double-click on one and let the fragging begin! It's free and easy, and you only need a copy of Doom or Doom II to play the original maps.

IMPORTANT: ZDaemon must not be installed under C:\Program Files\ or C:\Program Files (x86)\ otherwise the ZDaemon auto-updates will not work! This is due to Microsoft's UAC design.

How to get help

The ZDaemon community has many people who are eager to help. One of the best ways to get in touch with them is through the forums, where you can post questions, get answers, and join in on special community projects and events. We also have our own chat network, ZDIRC, which is great for finding someone to play with, getting in touch with your friends, or locating a member of the staff to get a problem solved quickly. ZDIRC access is built right into the game launcher, so all you need to do is sign up!

For those who prefer to talk instead of type - we are also on Discord. Our Discord channel can be reached by clicking here.

For those that prefer to use TeamSpeak 3, we also have a server there. A Teamspeak 3 client is required, which is available by going to Downloads. Connection details are available in the main chat channel (#zdplayers) on ZDIRC.

For all general queries please attempt to get in contact with a staff member through #zdplayers on ZDIRC.
